BAY ST LOUIS MAIN STREET FARMERS MARKET opens Thursday, March 4th, 2010!!
Bay St Louis Main Street Farmers Market will open on Thursday March 4th. It will take place every Thursday afternoon from 3pm – 6pm on the “Greenspace” on the corner of Main Street and Second, just opposite the Courthouse.
Locally grown Produce, Serious Bread, Goat Meat and Cheese, local Honey, Cakes and Cookies, Jams and Jellies, Spices and Rubs, Plants and Herbs. All this and more will be at the Main Street Market.
Bay St. Louis Main Street Market is a joint project between Hancock County Main Street and Real Food Gulf Coast. Bay St Louis Main Street Market is a local/regional market to promote and sell plants, food and food related goods produced locally/regionally. All goods must be grown, produced or significantly transformed by market vendors on their local/regional premises.
Real Food Gulf Coast is a grassroots organization founded by Diane Claughton, co-founder of Ocean Springs Fresh Market and Dita McCarthy, co-founder of Pass Christian Farmer’s Market. The mission of Real Food Gulf Coast is to grow and support a sustainable food economy along the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast.
